Painting Costs
Generally there are three tiers of panting quality. Table Top Quality and Display Quality and Dipping. Each style has will be explained in part below. You can click on the links below, or those at the left to explore more details about each style. Approximate prices are listed on each individual description page. Please remember that the prices listed on this page are estimates, and can change based upon many different factors. |

Tabletop Quality |
Display Quality |
| Dipping is the lease expensive method of painting. It is however, also the lowest quality of painting. Dipping is meant for completing large amounts of miniatures quickly. |
Tabletop quality looks better than dipping, and is meant for medium sized forces, and takes a bit longer to paint. In addition it costs a bit more. |
Display quality paint jobs are for just that - being displayed. These miniatures are meant to be viewed close up, and are incredibly detailed. |

Modeling and Conversion Costs |
|
Basic Modeling Costs
All miniatures require some modeling before they can be painted. Weather it be assembly, mold lines, or striping. All of these require materials and time. For every model that is painted, a small additional fee is charged to cover the basic modeling costs. See the chart to the right for a break down of the different costs. |
| Model Condition |
Price Increase |
| Previously Panted (requires striping) |
20% |
| Already Assembled |
15% |
| Unassembled and Unpainted |
10% |

Conversion Costs
Conversions are modifications to the initial model. These can be a simple as cutting off one gun and gluing on another, or as complex as scratch building a base. In many cases additional materials and time are needed to accomplish these types of modeling projects. Because of the variety of conversions, their costs are determined on a case by case basis. |

Billing
In most cases I will provide an estimate for a commission before receiving the models or materials. However, these estimates are in no way a bill for the items. In all cases I will not send an official bill until I have all the materials on hand. This allows me to directly access the condition of the models.
Bills are always sent via Email. |
| |
Payment
I prefer payment thorough PayPal, where payments can be sent to FrankCarroll@Arolkay.com. I will accept personal checks or money order through the mail, but in the case of personal checks, I may hold items until the check clears. |

Miscellaneous Commission Policies
1. If you live in the immediate Baltimore, Maryland area, we can arrange a pick up/drop off of materials for commissions. Otherwise all shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
2. Unfortunately I can not typically maintain deadlines. Painting is for me a hobby, so I will do my best to get things done if you need them by a specific date. However, I in no way guarantee that items will be completed within a specific time frame.
3. Payment is required before any completed miniatures will be returned. In the case where a customer no longer wishes to have a commission completed, I may bill for partial costs to cover any time and materials that have already been expended.
4. If payment is never received for a commission, I reserve the right to sell any materials/models that were provided by the customer to cover my costs. |
