Display Quality - These miniatures are intended to be viewed in extreme detail. They may be picked up and viewed closely.
Take a look at the Librarian to the right. While the entire miniature is not pictured, enough is shown to demonstrate the complexity of a display quality model. The cloth and books were painted with a series of five different layers ranging from Vermin Brown, to Bleached Bone, and up to Skull White. The dark reds are a series of seven layers ranging between Chaos Black and Red Gore. As a final example of the solid colors, the blues were again several layers.
A look at the details on this mini will also show some complex work. The gold bits were accomplished using eight layers involving five different paints. Finally take a look a the writing on the books. These were all done freehand with either a fine point paint brush, or a micron pen. |
