Tabletop Quality - This refers to a miniature that looks good on the table, and is intended to be viewed at an average of two to three feet away. The model may not have some fine details, but will look very good as a part of a larger force. This quality utilizes dry brushing for larger areas more often than higher quality minis would.
Take a look at the guardian to the right. The white armour was dry brushed with three different layers of color, and no edge highlighting was used. The gun was base coated black, and given a single dry brush to bring out highlights. The details, green and gold, were done with two to three layers each, and a wash to clean them up. |
