Shadowseer

My first harlequin! Its hard to tell, but the staff is really shiny - heavy coat of gloss varnish. It looks much more striking in person. The yellows washed out a bit in the pictures too. I really love how the colors came together though!


Got a few colors done, at least three to four layers per color. Trying to keep it bright. Most of the black areas will be a coppery metallic.

Primed white, and washed black to give some depth to subsequent layers. Now to start the real painting!
